FLORENCE A. ALBRIGHT LANSING, IL Florence A. Albright, age 99, of Lansing, IL passed away December 4, 2012. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Johnson; one son, Darryl (Pat) Albright; niece, Karen (Darrell) Whitney; eight grandchildren: Jack (Sue) Johnson, Darcy (Bill) Wheeler, Darrilyn Fraser, Leslie (Jerry) Meyers, Camela (Frank) Diaz, Deron (Lori) Albright, Michael (Kelly) Johnson, and Cory (Beth) Albright; grandnephew, Darrell (Lynne) Whitney Jr.; 19 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren: Andrew (Erin) Yohey and Juliana (Ed) Schmitt; five step-great grandchildren; and many other loving nieces and nephews who contributed to her joy of life. Preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Albright; brother, Edward Carlson; and sister, Ellen Rosen. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 10, 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (1/2 mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN with Pastor Barbara Kell officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Florence was born and raised on Chicago's East Side and moved to Lansing, IL in 1945. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church teaching Sunday school for many years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed mastering the challenges of crossword puzzles. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lansing United Methodist Church, Harbor Light Hospice, or Lansing Historical Society.
