Claudine Cook Clatterbuck

Claudine Cook Clatterbuck, 83, of Culpeper, VA passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at The Culpeper, where she had been a resident. She was born to Roscoe C. Cook and Ruby Randall Cook in Boone, NC on September 26, 1934. Claudine was a member of the Culpeper County Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and was especially proud to be a member of the high school softball teams coached by Rev. Floyd T. Binns. Surviving Mrs. Clatterbuck is her daughter, Cindy Rountree and her husband Jack of Centreville, VA; her brother, Roger Cook and his wife Margaret of Boone, NC; her sister, Peggy Browning of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in law, Jackie Bobbitt of Culpeper; and Kevin Alther of Culpeper, whom she thought of and loved as her grandson. She also leaves numerous of nieces and nephews. Those preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, James “Pete” Clatterbuck and her sister, Jean Cook Yancey. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home with Rev. Kung U.K. Lee conducting the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made to the Employee Appreciation Fund of The Culpeper (formerly the Culpeper Baptist Retirement Community), P O Box 191, Culpeper, VA 22701 in Claudine’s memory.
