On December 30, 1951, Lee was born at Baylor Hospital, Dallas, Texas to Rev. Claudel Pryor and Mrs. Mavis Bozeman Pryor. This bundle of joy weighed ten pounds. He was the fourth of nine children. He was educated in the Dallas School System and would spend summer months in the Sandfield and Birch Creek communities of Sulpher Springs, Hopkins County. Lee Edward's rich heritage was a family spiritually devoted to teaching, living, and witnessing the Good News of Jesus Christ. He along with his father, the late Rev. Claudell Pryor, attended 3rd Avenue Baptist Church. It was there that he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. As a youth, he attended New Birth Baptist Church, where his uncle, the late Rev Dr. G. W. Pryor was pastor.

Lee married Debra Boynton Chrisman on July 8, 1972, and were blessed with children, Shonda and Brian. The both were devoted to their parents. The welcomed grandson, Zayne and later welcomed a very special granddaughter, Codee Roland. They both were devoted to Papa Lee and Lavished him with love and devotion. He enjoyed his grandchildren and spent time bicycling with Zayne and Trampoline with Codee. Together they loaded fire wood on the trailer.

Lee was an entrepreneur, and in 1977, opened his own business, Pryor's Carpet and Home Improvement, where he employed brothers, nephews, family members and many others. Lee loved to work and could do most anything. The business included working throughout the DFW area, yet was instrumental in traveling throughout the United States rebuilding homes where they had been destroyed and devastated by various types of storms. Lee and Debra would later move from the Dallas area to the place of his roots and built on the Dave Wynn Home-place which was designated in 1862.

Brother Lee Edward Pryor, in every way, will be remembered for his devotion to family. He was diligent in financially supporting family and teaching those around him to enjoy work. Lee loved God and sought to live by God's Word. Being blessed to have shared 46 years with his loving wife, Debra and children, Shonda and Brian, along with Kindred Hospice, shared the loyalty of being caregivers to Lee during his final hours. Lee was provided emotional support though the National Service Dogs of America and Emotional Support Animals of America through Service Dog, Preston Pryor. He was preceeded in death by his parents. He leaves to cherish his memories, brothers, Tommy, Ray Dell, Gerald, Morris, Larnarval; sisters, Vanita Berry and Tiffany Ross, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

"Old Soldiers Never Die." John 11:25. "The man who believes in me will live even though he dies, and anyone who is alive and believes in me will never die..."
