Tina was charismatic. She was a person you looked forward to running into and spending time with and when that time would come to an end, you felt better for it...much like her departure now. She was a voice of reason, genuine, and grounded, Truly a beautiful person inside and out. Thank you for sharing her with us!

Dave and Family,

So sad to learn of Tina's passing after such a brave battle. Tina was one of those people you met for the first time and just knew she was a delight to be around. Her achievements are impressive, but more impressive is the love she nurtured. Tina will truly be missed by all those fortunate enough to have made her acquaintance.

Sorry we can't be there for the service celebrating Tina's great life.

I was a college roommate of Dave's at CMU. I was there when Dave and Tina became a "couple." They were meant for each other from the start considering their love for each other and 37 years of marriage to prove it. Her passing is very sad news. We all know she will be missed on this earth, but is in a better place now. Someone asked me if people are ever cured of their diseases - yes, they are all cured in Heaven. Rest in Peace Tina. I’m truly heartbroken about Tina. She was a wonderful person, friend, coworker who always stayed so positive. It won’t be the same without her, but we have so many great memories of her. Please know I’m thinking of you and saying prayers for your family during this difficult time. Take care Sue Vollmar

The Laurents lived next door to us in Kentwood for 5 fun and memorable years. We played in a couples golf league with most of our neighbors. We hosted New Years Eve parties that were always fun. Dave and Tina were great friends, neighbors, and parents. So may memories that I could not begin to start.... I wish we would have stayed in closer touch after they moved to Dewitt.

Funny thing too is that Pete's middle name is Laurent. It's the last name of my distant grand mother who passed away in the 1800's. Dave's dad thought we may be related...

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her entire family.

Love, Pete and Shelly Kaha

Tina was a wonderful person. She was the only one at my grandpas funeral to be able to calm my daughter Annabelle. She will be missed but always remembered

Our thoughts and prayers for Dave and family. We will miss Tina's smile and laughter. She was a great community leader who had a large role in making the DeWitt schools what they are today. I always enjoyed seeing Tina out for her many walks around town so I could get a chance to honk and say hello.

She is in wonderful hands.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Laurent family. We lived a block from the family and our sons grew up together. Tina served our school district as a member of the DeWitt Public School Board and was an asset to our community. Tina you will be missed. Our only relief is she is in a better place and leaving behind the suffering.
