Alice Huebner, 101, of Evansville, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020. She was born on Saturday, September 21, 1918 to Albert and Minnie (Stillwell) French in Halls, TN.
She was a self-employed school bus driver for the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation for over 30 years. She was the oldest living member of Blue Grass United Methodist Church where she served as custodian and also worked in the nursery for many years. Alice was the treasurer of the United Methodist Women’s Society for 20 years. She was an avid clabber player, enjoyed crocheting and loved spending time with her family.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Howard M Huebner; her parents; her brother and sister; and two nieces.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Martin of Poseyville; son, Bill Huebner (Tracy Scraper) of Evansville; and grandson, Blake Martin; nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday with burial to follow at Blue Grass Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Grass UMC, 14200 Petersburg Road, Evansville, Indiana 47725 or Premier Healthcare of New Harmony, Activities Department, 250 Highway 66, New Harmony, Indiana 47631.
