Carolyn J. Barfield

Carolyn J. Barfield, 80, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1931, in Flora, Illinois. She retired from the Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center and attended Terrace Parke General Baptist Church. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, William Barfield; parents, Roy and Margaret Powless; and brother, David Powless. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Kevin) Valandra; son, Brian (Robin) Barfield; grandchildren, Aaron, Brittany, Allyson and Christian; brothers, James and Ronald Powless; and several nieces and nephews. Services were10:00 AM Monday, July 16, 2012, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Jim Rudolph, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends visited Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
