OBITUARY
Donald F. Holl
July 21, 1927 – September 8, 2018
Donald F. Holl was born and raised in Evansville and worked at Arkla under its various names until it closed. He was a WWII Army veteran, a volunteer at the zoo as well as at St. Anthony’s Soup Kitchen for many years. He also donated blood and plasma for over 40 years.
Don was quite the poker player back in the day and enjoyed taking special friends to Ellis Race Track. He was proud of the fact that he bought a new car every year for nearly 40 years without borrowing money to do so.
He was preceded in death by Chester and Mildred (father/mother) and older brother Bill Holl.
Surviving family includes two nephews and their families consisting of Mike, Lisa & son, Jordan Holl and Patrick, Kathy & son, Tyler Holl.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander East Chapel.
Don was 91. Take a sip of Jack Daniels in his honor. He will be missed.
