IN THE CARE OF
Alexander Funeral Home-West Chapel
Dorothy Mae Dykstra, 96, of Evansville, IN, left this world on Monday, January 18, 2021, at the Heritage Center to join her Lord, husband Stanley, sisters, Louise and Helen and many dear friends in heaven. She was born June 14, 1924, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to the late Ralph and Evelyn (Mokma) Stob.
Dorothy was an avid adventurer and enjoyed traveling, needle point, and spending time with her family. She loved RVing and visiting our Western National Parks. She especially enjoyed a trip to Alaska with her husband and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Neil and Rayda Vogel. Another trip she was fond of was her trip to Japan to visit with close family friends.
She is survived by her children: Barbara and Alan; grandchildren, Courtney, Eric, Grace and John.
Due to the Pandemic, the visitation and Celebration of Life will be private. Entombment will take place at Alexander Memorial Park.
The family would like to honor all those who cared for Dorothy: Joyce Burghard, Jane Storey, Missy Ludwig, Barb Cravens, and the staff at the Heritage Center.
In lieu of flowers, Pine Rest Christian Homes, 300 68th St., Grand Rapids, Michigan 49548, www.pinerest.org/foundations/.donate, 800-678-5500.
