Dorothy Irene Kahre

Dorothy Irene Kahre, 89, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2019. She was born August 13, 1929 in Boonville, IN to the late George and Lily (Butler) Kissel. She served in the US Army from 1949-1951 and was a member of Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. Dorothy is survived by her husband of 67 years, Robert Kahre; children, Gregory A. Kahre (Jan), Wanda O. Kahre, Judith Denton and Dawne M. Fowler (Lance); 6 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Pastor Tom Wenig, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Heritage Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.
