George S. Jeffreys II

George Sandefur Jeffreys, II, 74, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2020, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1945, in Evansville, Indiana, to the late George S. and Dorothy (Thompson) Jeffreys. George was a member of the VFW Post #1114 and served in Vietnam, the Riverbend Association and the Eagles. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and hunting. He worked at George Kolbs Garage as an autobody man. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Hutchison) Jeffreys; daughter, Kimberly Ann Jeffreys; son, David Allan Jeffreys (Andrea); grandchildren, Austin and Sydnee Ellard, Hailey and Nolan Jeffreys, David and Blake Minton; sister, Lonna Beal; brother, David E. Jeffreys (Kayla); sisters-in-laws, Virginia Jeffreys, Lynda Farley, and Vickie Adkinson (Vince); brother-in-laws, Tommy, Randy, Richard Hutchinson and many sisters; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his beloved miniature pincher, Murphy. There will be no services at Alexander West Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Disabled American Veterans or the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
