Obituary of Isabelle C. Beastall
Isabelle C. Beastall, 98, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born November 14, 1919, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Alfred and Martha (Carroll) Buchanan. Isabelle attended Thoburn Methodist Episcopal Church in Chicago, where she was an active member who participated in the choir, taught Sunday School and belonged to the Women’s Society of Christian service. She married William Beastall on August 16, 1941 in Chicago. They moved to Elmhurst, Illinois in 1949, where she sang in the Elmhurst Women’s Choral Club and was the Corresponding Secretary to the Elmhurst Junior Women’s Club. She and William moved to Evansville in 1957 where she became an active member of Salem United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir, was Director of Salem Nursery School and Past President of the Bell Tower Social Club. Isabelle was a Supreme Matriarch and role model for her family. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, William and daughter, Deborah Landreth. Isabelle is survived by her son, Dr. Howard Beastall (Sue); daughter, Carroll Kratz (Roger); grandchildren, Juli Keppen, Kim McKeon (Jerry), Dr. Rodney Kratz, Ryan Kratz (Melody), Rustin Kratz (Julie) and Matt Landreth; and 12 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of River Pointe Health Campus for their care, concern and love. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 23, 2018, at Alexander North Chapel, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hospice or Salem United Methodist Church.
