Ivan Hurley, 89, of Evansville, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. He was born September 21, 1923, in Richland, IN, to the late William Hobart and Wanita (Swallow) Hurley.
He was a WWII US Marine Corp Veteran and served in the Pacific Theatre. He retired in 1985 from the J. H. Rudolph Construction Company after over 15 years of service. He was a member of the American Legion Post #254 and VFW Post #1114. He enjoyed working in his workshop, riding his motorcycle, watching basketball and baseball, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jane (Fellwock) Hurley of Evansville; sons, Rick (Pam) Hurley of Evansville and Jeff (Tammy) Hurley of Owensboro, KY; step-daughter, Jan (Bob) Thomas of Ft. Wayne, IN; step-son, Brad (Anne) Wagner of Beaverton, OR; grandchildren, Angie (Dustin) Montgomery, Sean (Betsy) Thomas, Nicole Clayton and Braxton Hurley; and great-granddaughter, Sloane Montgomery.
No services will be held. Private entombment will be held at a later date.
