Jay Randall Burton

Jay R Burton, 60, of Evansville passed away on November 30th, 2023. Most knew him for his goofy sense of humor, his extreme love for his children and grandchildren, and for all of those arm wrestling tournaments that usually ended in him being peacefully escorted off the premises. His favorite things to do were boating, fishing, four-wheeling, and throwing car parts at the boys. He thought of the word "bar" as a personal achievement because he always landed himself on the wall placard titled "barred". We are all very thankful that he wasn't 15 minutes younger because there was never a shortage in Burton children. He may have been on his last leg, but he got plenty of use out of his vessel. There wasn't anything he couldn't do, except stay out of trouble. He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Linda Burton. His niece Kari Robinson and his beloved dog Tebow. He is survived by his sisters Kelly Robinson and Sunny Burton, brother Mike Burton. Daughters Sarah Burton (Lori Carrier), Jaclyn Burton (Kurt Frankybob Cordell). Sons Justin Burton (Amanda Shields), Treavor (Caitlin) Burton, Jay Burton Jr. (Cynthia Pineapples Griest). Grandchildren Maysi Costello, Warren Costello, Walter Burton, and Adalynn Burton.
