Obituary of Louis "Louie" E. Lynn
Louis “Louie” E. Lynn, 80, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. He was born on August 22, 1940. Louie was a talented basketball player for the “old” Central High School. He was a proud fireman with the Evansville Fire Department. He loved his job and put his heart and soul into it. He was a proud member of Lessing Lodge #464, Hadi Shrine and the motor corps within the Shrine. Louie loved to hunt, fish and play golf. Louie aka, "Big Lou" was loved by many and was known to be fun-loving and an overall cool dude. His sons will always cherish his dedication as a father and provider. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Clayborne and Ella Lynn; sisters, Imogene Rupp, Carolyn Lee Lynn and Donna Reherman. He is survived by his son, Clayborne “Clay” Edgar Lynn II (Patty) and their children, Jesse Louis Lynn (Bre) and Kyle Madison Lynn (Gina) and their expected child, Madison Nicole; Son, Neil G. Lynn (Niki) and their children, Nathan Andrew Elder and Baylee Lynn; beloved dogs, Chico and Angel; nieces and nephews, Debra Fox, Pete Rupp, Chris Rupp, Elizabeth Rupp, Barbara Reherman and their families. A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois St., Evansville, officiated by Pastor Jeff Long and livestreamed at www.facebook.com/FuneralStreamUSA. Friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. A Shrine walk through will be performed at 6:30 pm followed by a masonic memorial service by Lessing Lodge # 464. The Evansville Fire Department Color Guard will be honoring Louie by their attendance. Memorial contributions may be made to Lessing Masonic Lodge #464.
