Obituary of Mary Lou Claybaugh
Mary Lou Claybaugh of Evansville, passed away on August 18, 2018 at 7:20 PM at Deaconess Hospital. Mary Lou was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 8, 1929 to Lloyd and Mary (Adamson) Graham. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Lincoln, Nebraska and the University of Nebraska. She was a Home Economics advisor to the Dean of Admissions at Iowa State University. In 1953, she moved with her husband to Evansville. She was a long-time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She sang in the choir for over 50 years, taught Sunday school classes, served on many committees of the UMW and VBS. She was a 50-year member of PEO, Past President of Chi Omega Sorority, and member of numerous bridge clubs. She was elected as a member of the Griffin Society at Purdue University. She was a former member of the Junior League and taught crafts for children at the Evansville Museum. She was inducted into the Westside Kiwanis Club by the International President. Mary Lou traveled extensively with her husband, family, and friends. She visited every state in the United States. She traveled throughout Canada, Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Mary Lou is survived by her husband of 68 years, Glenn A. Claybaugh. Children, Lloyd (Patricia) and Cindy (Kevin). Grandchildren, Joseph Weil (Emily), James Weil (Sarah), and Jennifer Claybaugh. Great Grandchildren, Graham and Lucas Weil. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 22nd at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Rev Todd Gile, DD, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park, 2200 Mesker Park Dr. Friends may call on Tuesday, August 21st, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel. The family would like to thank the staff at Deaconess Hospital, 4500 Unit, for their support.
