Paulette Baker

Paulette Baker, 92, of Evansville, passed away on January 29, 2011 at CORE Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born October 21, 1918 in Spencer County, IN.
Paulette was raised in Cynthiana and moved to Evansville as a young lady.
She worked at Western Union for 29 years and retired from Stewarts in 1988, after 15 years.
Paulette was a longtime member of St. Lucas United Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Borden Baker in 1952; parents, Charles and Anna Montgomery; son, Larry Montgomery; brothers, Leon and Leland Montgomery; and sister, Pauline Shuler.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy E. Koch (Robert) of Wallingford CT; grandchildren, Marissa E. Koch, Brian Montgomery, and Michael Montgomery; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Marsha Darr.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dane Gray and Rev. Lynn Martin, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the staff at CORE and Vista Care Hospice for their wonderful care.
