Richard E. Reine
May 21, 1932 – July 30, 2020

Richard E. Reine, loving father, husband and veteran, passed peacefully at 5:40 PM CST on July 30, 2020 at the age of 88.
Richard attended F.J. Reitz High school and served in the US Army. He worked at National Furniture for 12 years and then finished his career at Alcoa Warrick Operations, having worked there for 27 years. Richard retired from Alcoa in 1991. He was a prolific wood worker always revealing the native beauty of the driftwood he would find along the Ohio River, and later in life added some stonework to the hobby, too.
He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Laura Elaine.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Fay (Brown), two sons, Steven of Evansville, IN and Jeffery of Indianapolis, IN and a brother, John R. Reine of Evansville, IN. He is additionally survived by several nieces, nephews, and other loving family.
He was born on the west side of Evansville, IN on May 21, 1932, to John and Lydia Reine.
The family would like to extend special thanks to MSA Hospice and dozens of home health care givers that supported both Richard and Fay for the last years of Richard’s life. All have made difficult days so much easier.
The family has opted to hold no visitation. The private funeral service will be held at Alexander West Chapel on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. CST with internment following at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Richard’s honor may be given to any one of the following charities: The World Wildlife Fund (www.worldwildlife.org), The Audubon Society (www.audubon.org) or the Vanderburgh County Humane Society (www.vhslifesaver.org).
