Robert R. Vasseur

Robert R. Vasseur, 79, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Brentwood Health Care. He was born November 12, 1931, in Paducah, KY. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a service manager for Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the VFW Post #1114 and the Eagles. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and served as an Arthur Murray instructor. Robert also enjoyed flea markets and fishing. Robert was preceded in death by parents, Raymond Vasseur and Lilly Mae Warneke; son, Stacy Vasseur; and brother, William Vasseur. He is survived by his daughters, Dee Dee Riat and husband, Bill, and Adoree Vasseur; sons, Tommy and Bobby Vasseur; grandchildren, Justin and Niki Riat, Breea and Travis Hays, Sean Vasseur, Christian Ramsey, Charlie and Shelby Vasseur; great-grandson, Charlie Riat; sister, Marilyn Ramsey and husband Ron of Carlsbad, CA; and nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Everett Freels with burial at Park Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel.
