Obituary of William O Abell
William O. Abell, 87, passed away, Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville, IN. He was born August 29, 1925 in Petersburg, IN. He was a WWII veteran in the US Navy. He worked for Bucyrus Erie and George Koch & Sons. Bill was a member of Lessing Lodge #464; Scottish Rite, MSA; Hadi Shrine Hospital Staff; Legion of Honor Evansville Chapter #555 OES; Bethlehem #2 White Shrine; Sword of Bunker Hill; VFW Post 1114; and Simpson United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Beverly Abell. Bill is survived by daughters, Donna & Terry Hight, Brenda & David Craig; sons, Daryl & Kim Abell, all of Evansville, Bryan & Patty Abell, Fond- Du-Lac, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Christopher Schmitt, Sarah Schumacher, Michael Craig, Jason Craig, Phillip Craig, Brent Abell, Brad Abell, Brandi Abell, Emily Abell, Eli Goding, and Autumn Abell; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Wayne) & Diane Abell, Leesburg, FL. Services will be 1:00PM, Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Dennis Adams, followed by entombment at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday, December 14, 2012, from 2:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home where Lessing Lodge #464 will conduct a Masonic Service at 6:30PM. Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, P.O.
