Ira was a good friend to the employees of the City of Falls Church. As a Council Member, he always looked out for what was in the best interests of the City. He was level headed, kind and his observations were very astute. I considered him to be a good friend and am proud to have known such a wonderful person.

Ira was a trusted colleague and friend at the Inter-American Development Bank, both when we were employees of the Bank and later as members of the Board of the Retirees Association. Often outspoken rather than soft spoken, Ira never flinched from doing the right thing and speaking truth to power. His careful stewardship of the interests of IDB retirees as Treasurer of the Association and as a member of the IDB's Pension Committee, leave a legacy that all IDB retirees can be grateful for. I will miss him.
