John A. Vignali

John Anthony Vignali, 94, passed away on June 15, 2018. Mr. Vignali was preceded in death by his parents Dominick and Albina Vignali, his bother Joseph Vignali, his sister Alice Schroeder, his niece Joanne Cushman, his nephews John Vignali and Dennis Schroeder. He is survived by his nieces Patricia, Mary Lou, Ann Marie; and his nephew Edward. Mr. Vignali served in World War II in the Army Signal Corps, he served in both the European and Pacific theaters of operation. Mr. Vignali worked at the Naval Research Lab in Washington, DC where he developed, designed and implemented communication systems for the Navy. He worked at the Naval Research Lab until his retirement. Mr. Vignali was an avid amateur radio operator. He wrote and composed music. Mr. Vignali found great strength in his Catholic faith and supported many of their charities. Mr. Vignali's funeral arrangements will be handled by Murphy Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA.
