Verena E Hauprich

Verena E. Hauprich passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA surrounded by loved ones. Verena was born in Vienna, Austria on September 8, 1954 to her mother, Eva Walla and her father, Werner Michael. She received her education at the Handelsakadamie der Wiener Kaufmannschaft in Vienna and graduated in June 1974. She worked for several European companies in Belgium and Germany, most notably Computer Sciences Europe. Verena came to the United States in April 1987 and was married to Robert Hauprich on June 1, 1987. She worked briefly at the Embassy of Morocco in Washington, DC and then began her 22 year career at the Fairview Park Marriott as a General Accountant on November 21, 1989 to the present day. Verena earned numerous awards and recognition throughout her career. She was committed to excellence in her work and to her fellow associates. Verena was a loyal, thoughtful, and caring friend who would do anything for those she loved. Her cats, Sam and Rusty, were two of the greatest joys of her life. Verena will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all those whose lives she touched during her only too short life. May God Bless her and keep her until we meet her again in Heaven. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 between the hours of 3p and 5p at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A reception will be held immediately following at the Fairview Park Marriott, 3111 Fairview Park Drive, Falls Church, VA 22042. An inurnment service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date. Please refer to this website for the details of the service.
