Cindy & Family,
My deepest sympathies to you and your family on the loss of a wonderful husband, father and friend. True story, the Thursday before Memorial Day I was cleaning out my home office, I probably threw away 1000 business cards, but I kept one and left it on the top of my desk, it was Cal’s from Gary’s Lawn Service. I kept it as I wanted to make sure my dad and I connected with Cal this summer to reminisce about the great times together at Walker Mulligan. Unfortunately, I was too late and did not get to personally thank Cal for all he did to help build Walker Mulligan into the great company it was and for the respect and friendship he provided to our family at Walker Mulligan. So please don’t wait to call an old friend or say you will stop by next time, slow down and make that call as I wish I had earlier. My number is 513-476-6824 if anyone wants to connect.

A couple of quick thoughts about Cal; the man flat loved to sell and negotiate, I wish I was half as good as he was, no matter the challenge, he always delivered and then would flash that million dollar smile and give us a laugh. He helped me understand how to sell in the food business and what it takes to be successful and I am thankful he took the time to help develop me. But he also helped outside of work, I still have the Sansui stereo he helped me buy when I was in high school; unfortunately I don’t have the bag phone he got us when cell phones first came out, but I can assure you we thought we were pretty damn cool driving our Chevy Lumina’s and talking on our bag phones.

I only wish we could share one more cold drink at Curley’s to celebrate the success we created together at Walker Mulligan. Cal will be deeply missed, but he has had a lasting impact on me as well as my family and I am thankful he was a part of my life and for the many happy memories I have of our times together.

Wishing you strength and peace during this difficult time.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I will always remember Cal & Cyndy coming into the Eagles and we would have good talks and he would give me helpful information on things we talked about. He was a wonderful funny man. He will be dearly missed. R.I.P Cal and just know that I will remain a good friend to Cyndy and look out for her and help her when she needs anything and to be there for her through this sad time. We all will miss your humor and smile.
