Doris M. Yergens

Doris M. Yergens, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Park Place Senior Living. Born June 15, 1926, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Lulu (Kabisch) Sandkuhler. After graduation from Central High School, she was a personnel manager with Sears for over 40 years, from which she retired. She enjoyed golfing, reading, gambling, and traveling, especially to Naples and Redington Beach, Florida, every year. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Craig) Nelson and Shirley (Ed) Walker, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Shannon Feigel and Rick (Raquel) Walker, both of Fort Wayne; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Feigel. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Yergens; granddaughter, Emily Walker; sisters, Ruth Jack and Nancy Pressley; and brother, Hank Sandkuhler. Funeral Service will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1505 Bethany Lane, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 6-8pm on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
