Eugene J. Neyman, 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was born November 27, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Neyman.
Eugene was a PGA member and Golf Professional for 49 years. He owned and operated the Maumee Valley Golf Club for 27 years. Eugene had a very deep love for the game of golf, he enjoyed everything about the game, he especially enjoyed being able to instruct and teach others about the game he loved so dearly. Golf was his life! Eugene also loved to spend time with his family and friends and he was an avid Detroit Lions and Michigan Wolverines football fan.
Surviving family members include his son, Chris (wife-Tammy) Neyman; two grandsons, C.J. and Myles Neyman; and his sister, Patricia Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bertha Neyman; and his two brothers, Gerald and Robert Neyman.
A Mass of Christian Burial to honor Eugene's life and legacy will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Fort Wayne, with burial to immediately follow in the Catholic Cemetery of Fort Wayne. Additionally, a visitation will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
