Obituary of Jacqueline O. Hogue
Jacqueline O. Hogue, 72, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Born on May 15, 1950, in Marion, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late John Turner and Ida Mae Sanders (Cannon). Jacqueline was a member of Open Arms Ministry/Praise International Church for 20 plus years. She accepted our Lord and Savior at a young age and has been a staunch believer and active faithful servant of Christ in the community. In 2008, she retired as a Special Education bus driver from Fort Wayne Community Schools, after more than 30 years of service. Jacqueline has a whole host of children, grandchildren, biological and non-biological, and she was the community mother and matriarch of the Hogue family. She was a light to any person she encountered, and she shared the love that God gave her with the entire community. Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Robert Hogue; children, Brian Wilkins, Damion (Nicole) Wilkins, Melissa Hogue, Rochelle Hogue, Kashina (Qualon) Gates, TaKeshia Hogue, Cathy (Kent) Sullivan, and Tiffany Jones; as well as 29 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Melvin (Tracey) Cannon, Mark (Yolanda) Sanders, Percy (Barbara) Turner; and a very special aunt, Lillie Mae Curry. Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie and Mary Cannon; three brothers, Willie, Jeff-Wayne, and Lorenzo Cannon; and her one grandchild, Endeya Hogue. A Celebration of Life service to honor Jacqueline's life and legacy will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Faith United Methodist Church, 207 East Dewald Street, Fort Wayne, with a visitation beginning at 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be directed to Faith United Methodist Church, attention Hogue Family. All flower donations should be sent to Faith United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 10:00am.
