James R. Pynchon

James R. Pynchon, 90, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Parkview Hospital. He was born July 10, 1928 in Kempton, Ind. After graduating from Anderson High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Korea as an M.P. Jim worked in accounting until his retirement from Magnavox in 1990. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Surviving are his sons, David L. (Bernadette) Pynchon of St. Augustine, Fla., and William J. (Claire) Pynchon of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, John and Emma Pynchon. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Maxine P. (Passe) Pynchon. Funeral Service will be 11:30am on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 3425 Crescent Ave., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 2-5pm on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial at Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
