Lavon A. Wasson

Lavon A. Wasson, 81, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Adams Heritage in Monroeville, IN. She was born in Fort Wayne to the late Harry F. and Zola (Lyons) Shoppell. She married Richard Wasson and he preceded her in death in 2008. Lavon was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Ricky (Mona) Wasson, Craig Wasson, Jack Wasson, Larry (Ginevra) Wasson, and Beverly (Greg) Ummel; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and sister, Pauline Bunyon. She was also preceded in death by daughters, Sandra Wasson and Rhonda Reed; son Ronald Wasson; brother, Charles Shoppell; and sister Delores Murphy. Funeral service 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park with calling from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm prior to the service. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
