Obituary of Nancy R. Manon Clark
Her faithful Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, on January 22, 2013, gently transitioned Nancy Ruth (nee Manon) Clark from life to life eternal at her home in Kingston Residence, Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, where she had lived for three years. Born April 26, 1912, in Farmer Township, Defiance County, OH, youngest and only surviving child of seven of the late Anna and Fred Manon, she was baptized in the name of the Triune God at Zion Lutheran Church, Edgerton, OH, on June 23, 1912, and was confirmed there July 18, 1926. A 1930 graduate of Farmer High School, Nancy completed training as a Registered Nurse at the former Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Fort Wayne, in 1933. In 1934 she married Virgil Clark († 1976). She concluded her career as Supervisor of Nurses for the Allen County Health Department in 1974. Bethlehem Lutheran Church, S. Anthony Boulevard, was her congregation. During her years there she functioned as a member of the Altar Guild, Ladies Aid Society, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, and Federation of Lutheran Women. Survivors include son Lee (Jackie) Clark, Cape Cod, MA; grandchildren Dr. Misha (Mike) Kilmer, Medfield, MA and Martina (Don) Goss, Potomac Falls, VA; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Nancy wanted to be remembered (her words) as a “Christian, happy person, a good friend helping others in time of trouble, always depending on the Lord for help.” There will be a drop-in gathering to remember Nancy 10:00 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Saturday, January 26, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 3705 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, followed by the memorial service of worship in praise and thanksgiving to her loving Lord at 12:30 p.m. Those who desire may remain for the meal to follow. Please make memorial donations to Bethlehem. The separate committal service and interment is at Covington Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
