Phyllis Y. Brumbaugh Baals

Phyllis Y. Baals, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011 at Covington Manor. Born June 4, 1924 in Elmo, Kansas, she was employed with General Electric, Lincoln Bank and was a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mom and grandmother. She was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church. Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Robert E. Baals, of Fort Wayne; son, Jim (Gloria) Baals, of Fort Wayne; daughter, Linda Karn, of Fort Wayne; sister, Gayle Schinbeckler, of Columbia City; four grandchildren and seven great grandchidlren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister. Funeral Service is 11:00 am Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
