Martha and Douglas have been comforted and very much appreciate the support and condolences of all whose lives were touched and enriched by Ruth’s presence.
The cards, calls, and simple acknowledgement of caring and gestures of gentle kindness from so many people, neighbors, friends, congregants, and family, and her wider community, have been important to us and will always remind of us of Ruth’s vibrant connections in so many lives besides our own. Her enormously kind, gentle and open nature were recognized by so many of you and your recollections bring us comfort. We express our thanks to the admirable and compassionate members of her supportive care group, who made her death a peaceful and natural part, not an ending, of her life. She lives, as she always will, in our hearts, in your memories, and in an eternal life beyond our knowledge.

Martha and Doug, I know there is nothing I can say or do that will help you right now. Just know that you are both loved and my prayers are with you. I can't imagine the loss you must be feeling. I have many wonderful memories of visiting with the three of you during the summers. Love, Sylvia

My deepest sympathy to you,
Martha and Elmer and
Douglas and Paul

I didn't realize how much Ruth and I had in common until we started calling each other on our birthdays. It was fun 'catching up' and finding out what each others family were doing. I will truly miss her.

My deepest sympathies to the Lebrecht family on the passing of Ruth. We were in the same grade at Bethlehem and sometimes sat together on the school bus. She also came to my 9th birthday party. Although we lost touch over the years, I will always remember Ruth as soft-spoken, kind and very intelligent in school.
And when I saw her photo, it was unmistakeable; she had not changed.
Good and sweet memories.
