Clyde, Marge & family,

Was so sorry to hear of Ellie's passing. We didn't know anything about it until Sunday at church.
We would see her occasionally at Meijer. We will miss her welcoming smile.

I already miss you more than you know, which you probably already know exactly how much I miss you! Just want to thank you for making me become a boiler! Thanks for that first Purdue football game. I feel like I got so many memories I want to get out, so I’m trying. All the Fun Spot memories for your work outings, that place was underrated!! Thanks for the race track and my first dog freckles.. Even though he didn’t last long, thanks dad haha jk! You either got me or had mom and dad got me the original Nintendo and we would stay up playing it, trying to beat it on my black/white tv. It was the best! You loved Steve Young, thought he was cute, so you were buying 49ers gear. Yes I loved going to Taco Bell, I thought the cinnamon twisty sticks were the best. I still love going to Taco Bell. You introduced me to so much music and tv shows! TalkingHeads and envogue, still love them today! I remember when it was Christmas time and mom and I would decorate tree and get stockings out. We would hang them behind wood stove and you would always be the last one up and I would have to wait for you! I’ll tell you what, I’d wait for you forever! You were the best Easter egg hider! That was your gig and all the nieces and nephews/ great nieces and nephews loved it. Owen, Finley, and Sydney say HI! We miss you! I love you!

I keep waiting for words to come, but the perfect words just aren't there. Ellen was known and loved by so many, (I'm pretty sure that anyone who met her took an instant liking to her.) She had such a beautiful spirit... the perfect balance of love and strength with a side of teasing. Ellie was a school friend, and I'm supposing that everyone in our class will say that as well. She was a friend to all. As one of the class that was together from elementary school through graduation, we were like family. My earliest memory of Ellie was when she invited me over for what was to be my very first "sleep-over." The best part was when she introduced me to horseback riding. I rode until I could barely walk. I'd never been on a horse before, but to this day my love for riding has never subsided. Our deepest condolences and our prayers go out to her family. Thank you for the years you shared her with the rest of us. I'm a better person for having known her and and blessed to know we'll see her again someday in heaven.

I enjoyed getting to see Ellen at volleyball on Monday nights. I remember in my early years of playing when she'd serve the ball, I would hope it wasn't coming my way (she could serve hard!) I enjoyed making her laugh and loved her smile! When we would see each other in town, she always had a smile and a kind word to say.

My thoughts and prayers for her family and friends. God Bless you all!
