Lonia Mae Dulin Atkins

Lonia Mae Atkins, age 89, of Huntly passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton. A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with Pastor Albert Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery. Lonia was born in Rappahannock County on November 21, 1922 a daughter of the late Ned and Mattie Pullen Dulin. She was a homemaker, and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was Baptist by faith and attended Amissville Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Foster and husband James, of Huntly; her granddaughter, Penny Foster; and her great-grandson Isaiah David Boyd Foster. In addition to her parents, Lonia was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Ivory Atkins in 1991; her son Ivory Atkins, Jr.; her grandson, Troy Foster; her brother, Horace Dulin and her sisters, Julia Pullen, Maggie Mahoney and Ethel Williams.
