Annetta Joyce Shonkwiler

Annetta Joyce Shonkwiler, 64, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Born April 3, 1955 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Sherman Clyde and Carol Jean (Carrington) Lowe and was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1973”.
Annetta worked 17 years at the McDonalds Restaurant in Greencastle.
She is survived by her husband, Troy N. Shonkwiler; son, Troy Shonkwiler Jr.; daughter, Heather Shonkwiler & husband, Francesco Roncara; her mother, Carol Lowe; sisters, Doris York and Kathy (Wade) McClure; and a brother, Sonny (Jenny) Lowe.
She was preceded in death by her Father.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Little Walnut Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Annetta to the Humane Society of Putnam County or the American Cancer Society.

Annetta was my childhood best friends mother. She was a beautiful kind soul , strong and a wise woman who always fixed another woman crown without telling the world it was crooked. I miss you and love you momma Shonkwiler. May God bless your family strength during this difficult time.

I was good friends with Annetta in high school. She was a good person with a sweet personality and a good heart. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone. I will keep her family in my thoughts and prayers.
