Howard Eugene Custis Jr.

Howard Eugene “Howie” Custis Jr, 60, of Fillmore, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born July 19, 1959 in Greencastle, the son of Howard Eugene and Grace (Bumgardner) Custis and was a graduate of Greencastle High School. Howard worked in maintenance at Walmart Distribution Center for over ten years and had previously worked at Oxford Automotive for 27 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, gardening, and working with his tractor. Howard is survived by his son, David (Amber) Custis; sisters, Pam (Bob) Sablotne and Darla Nichols; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Paula Custis. The family invites friends to celebrate Howard’s life on Saturday, December 21, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
