Marcella Mae Cox

Marcella Mae Cox, 86, of Greencastle, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Marcella was born in Lewis on September 11, 1932, the daughter of Raymond and Lou Settie (Brown) Herrington, and was a 1950 graduate of Marshall High School in Illinois. Mrs. Cox worked for 25 years with Columbia Records in Terre Haute. She attended Abundant Life Church in Putnamville, and played the piano for the church. She was an excellent baker. Survivors include her husband, of 42 years, Russell C. Cox; three children, Tim Cree, (wife-Connie), Cape Coral, Florida, Debbie Hayes, (husband-Randy), Terre Haute, and Kelly Anderson, (husband-Jay), West Terre Haute; two step-children, Ronald Cox, Greencastle, and Gary Cox, Greencastle; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and three sisters. Services will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, April 26, 2019 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Dunlap Cemetery in Dennison, Illinois.
