Obituary of Edith L. Walke
Edith L. Walke “The Tupperware Lady”, 90 passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Morning Breeze in Greensburg. Edith was born on August 10, 1928 in Napoleon, the daughter of Charles and Ada (Newman) Myers. Edith was a 1946 graduate of Napoleon High School. She married Clifford Walke in Batesville on April 11, 1958 and he preceded her in death on August 28, 2005. Edith worked in the office at Johnson’s Wholesale and then worked as a Tupperware Sales Rep. for 28 years. She enjoyed reading, embroidering and cooking in her spare time. Survivors include her two sons – Dan Walke of Greensburg and Richard (Theresa) Walke of Shelbyville; one sister-in-law Rosemarie Hausman; one brother-in-law Eugene Walke; and two grandchildren – Nicholas and Andrew Walke. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters – Evelyn Weber and Mary Foster; her brothers – one infant and Cecil Myers. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 4PM – 7PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 10AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Danny Wolford officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
