Albert Eugene Surrett

Albert Eugene Surrett, 59, of Hayes, Virginia, born April 13, 1959 in Asheville, North Carolina died January 17, 2019 in Hampton, Virginia. Albert is survived by his sister, Carol E. Fisher; two nieces, Kristina L. and Jamie L. Burton; great- nephew, Kayden J. Eaton; sons, Jeremy, Justin, and Joseph Surrett; daughter, Jina Surrett; and three grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Guy G. Surrett; mother, Mary A. Surrett; and daughter, Jody Surrett. He lived a life loving UNC football, racing RC cars, and enjoying sweets with his favorite being Mountain Dew, which developed from his time working at Pepsi. He loved his family, and often spoke of going back home to Ashville, North Carolina. In his later days he enjoyed the care and company of his two nieces, great- nephew, and their many animals, as well as the care and company of his sister. Albert will be missed dearly by all who met him. His memory will always remain in our hearts.
