Maddalena Rana

Maddalena Rana, 86, of Hampton, VA, died on September 6, 2013. She was born on January 27, 1927, in Molfetta, Italy. She was a resident of Hampton, VA, since 1988. She married her husband Antonio Rana (who predeceased her) in 1957 and then immigrated to the United States. They resided in Hoboken and Weehawken, NJ, prior to moving to Virginia. She is survived by her son, Mauro (Mario) Rana and his wife, Cetra of Hampton; two daughters, Angela Rana, and AnnaMaria Clack and her husband, Marty of Hampton, stepdaughter Carmela Rana and her husband, Michele Campodipietro of Giovinazzo, Italy and their children, and her brother Sergio Abbattista and his wife Maria of Molfetta, Italy, as well as many nieces and nephews. Maddalena was a warm and loving person. People were drawn to her because of her love and concern for others and welcomed them into her heart and home. Friends became like family to her and she was also loved in return. She loved Jehovah God very much and was baptized in 1980. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1625 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA.
