Madzy C. Defreitas-Monsanto, 90, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Hans A. Monsanto, loving mother of Armando Defreitas, Judith Brandt, John Defreitas, Moriah Adams, Reynold Defreitas, Sandra Lotenfoe and the late Joel Defreitas, cherished grandmother of Demitri, Michelle, Joel, Shannon, Achmed, Stephanie, Nadine, Anwar, Anthony, Nina, Jarred, Ashley, Rebe, Mei-ling, Xue-ling and Lucas, great-grandmother of 18 great-grandchildren and dear sister of Astha, Ronny, Joyce, John, Mildred and Ramon. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Madzy's life will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hampton Memorial Gardens.
