Obituary of Caroline Louise (Rosini) Brosius
Caroline Louise Rosini Brosius, 82, a resident of the Cross Keys Virginia area for 27 years, passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at her home. She was born April 22, 1936 in Shamokin, PA, and was the daughter of the late John and Helen Zaleskie Rosini. Caroline graduated from St. Edward Catholic High School, Shamokin, PA. She received her nursing diploma from St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in Lancaster, PA. She was a registered nurse in the obstetrical department of Sunbury, PA Community Hospital. After moving to Cross Keys, she retired from Montgomery Ward in Staunton. She enjoyed history, gardening, knitting and spending time with family. She is survived by her children, Helen Allen and husband, Clarence, of Mt. Crawford, VA, Denise Ferrari and husband, Edward, of Sterling, VA, Henry Brosius and wife, Rita, of NSW, Australia, Angela Rosini and fiancé, Arthur Jacoby, of San Diego, CA, Matthew Brosius and wife, Elizabeth, of Wichita, KS; grandchildren, Stephanie Dixon, Ashley Lam, Lauren Lang, Lachlan and Sebastian Brosius, Ashley Truesdell, Jennifer Brosius, Edward Ferrari, Jr., Anthony Ferrari, and Angela Ferrari Moon; great-grandchildren, Carter William Lam, Henley Jane Dixon and Ellie Paige Lam; brothers, John, Richard, Thomas and Michael Rosini; and a sister, Susanne Yoncuski. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Brosius, Jr. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Monday, November 19, 2018 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A funeral mass will be held 10 am, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Silvio Kaberia officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org.
