Garry Layne Gainer

Garry Layne Gainer, 51, a resident of Keezletown passed away unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, May 24, 2012. He was born on January 24, 1961 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Ernest and Rose Deviers Gainer. Garry attended Broadway High School and lived in Keezletown for 17 years. He was employed with Simmons and Son in Hinton, for 30 years. He was a member of Proud American Riders and the NRA. On June 19, 2004 he married the former, Linda Moyers, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Matthew and Marcus Nesselrodt both of Keezletown; a daughter, Tina Chrisman and husband, Craig of Verona; two grandchildren, Craig “CJ” Allen Chrisman, Jr. and Cassidey Marie Chrisman; two sisters, Sandy Gainer and Cindy Arellano both of Harrisonburg; two brothers, his twin, Larry Gainer and wife, Donna of Harrisonburg, Ernie “Tater” Gainer and wife, Cindy of Broadway; step-father, Ray Moyers of Harrisonburg; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest M. Gainer, Jr. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Lindsey Funeral Homes in Harrisonburg. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 27, at the Chapel of the funeral home, with Pastor Ted Hott officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Linda, Words can not express the dedication that Garry had working for us over the last 30 years. He was always there snow,rain whatever. He was always willing to go and do what ever or where ever needed. He was truly an asset to us and will be missed greatly. May God bless you and your family .
