Mrs. Lindamood,

May the Lord provide you safe harbor as you have with so many, both two and four legged.

Our memories of you have been of great times shared with you and your family on the farm and we have all been enriched by having known you.

I was at least 40 years old before it felt ok to call her Nancy. My mother died when I was 16 and Mrs. Lindamood took me in. She was demanding and tough, but when I needed her she defended me tooth and nail. She was caring and giving, but never sappy. She and I were both only children, had independence in common, and she was a force to be reckoned with. She was a republican who despised people I defended, while I am a liberal who loathed people she supported, but we were still close through it all. She was family to me. She stayed up late and we talked on the phone for hours, often past midnight. When there was no one else, there was always Nancy. I miss her so much.

I am so sorry to learn about the passing of Mrs Lindamood. She was such an instrumental part in my love of horses, pony club, and my veterinary degree! She loved animals so much and had such an amazing talent with them. I will forever cherish my artwork by her. My parents, John and Shirley Rathgeber also send there condolences and loving sympathy.

A donation has been sent to the United States Pony Club in her amazing honor.
