Phyllis Ann (Kyger) Alt

Phyllis Ann Alt, 68, of Rockingham, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019. She was born on March 2, 1951 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Calvin and Margaret Jarrels Kyger. Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. She graduated from Harrisonburg High School and worked at L & S Diner for several years. She is survived by two daughters, Beth Jones and spouse, Jason; and Amy Judy all of Harrisonburg; three grandchildren, Zacary Labua, Blake and Hailey Jones; two brothers, Larry and Charles Kyger; and a family friend, Kevin Rasnick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sheldon Alt; and a brother, Ronnie Kyger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Anicira, 1992 Medical Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22801. Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and the family will receive friends 6-8 pm, Friday, June 21, 2019 at the home of Beth and Jason Jones.
