Anthony L. Sandrick, age 89, of Highland, IN passed away Monday, July 2, 2012. He is survived by his three children: Linda Moritz of Marion, IN, Tony (JoAnn) Sandrick Jr. of Fishers, IN and Tom (Arleen) Sandrick of Highland, IN; four grandchildren: Kimberly Sandrick and Michael (Kimberly) Sandrick both of Fishers, IN, Megan (Phil) Targun and Mary Sandrick both of Chicago, IL; three great-grandchildren: Grant and Alex Sandrick both of Fishers, IN and Lily Targun of Chicago, IL; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sandrick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Joyce and he was the last surviving brother of six Sandrick brothers from Whiting, IN. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m at Kuiper Funeral Home with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3025 Highway Ave., Highland, IN. with Rev. Edward Moszur officiating. Interment will follow at Catholic Cemeteries, Hammond, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. (with a 4:30 p.m. prayer service) at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN. Mr. Sandrick was member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church of Highland. He retired from Amoco with 33 years of service. Mr. Sandrick was a veteran of the U. S. Navy during WWII stationed at Pearl Harbor and many ports throughout the South Pacific. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #80 of Whiting and the First Catholic Slovak Union of the United States. Mr. Sandrick enjoyed traveling, gardening and many home improvement projects in his home of 57 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anthony's loving memory to the Our Lady of Grace School Fund.
