Edmund Godlewski

Edmund Godlewski, 90, passed away on November 2, 2013. He was a 55 year resident of Griffith, having been born in Calumet City, IL on March 7, 1923. Mr. Godlewski is survived by two daughters: Jeanne (John) Luers of St. John Township and Julie (Kelly) Beutler of Roann, IN; and four grandchildren: Kristin (Adam) Niemiec, Doug Luers, Laura and Paul Beutler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Edith; parents: John and Lottie Godlewski; and four sisters: Jennie, Eleanor, Lorraine, and Delores. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road, Highland with Pastor Kelly Beutler officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Mr. Godlewski was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and had worked in the labs of Sinclair, ARCO, ECI, and Keil Chemical for over 40 years. www.kuiperfh.com .
