Gale A. Ruschhaupt

Gale A. Ruschhaupt, 83, of Huntington, passed away at 3:20 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne. Gale was a 1953 graduate of Huntington Township High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked for Schaffer Electric and was the owner of R&R Electric. He was a member of Faith Chapel United Methodist Church and was a past member of Huntington Horseshoe Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Gale was born on August 9, 1935 in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of Everett H. and Avaril B. (Clary) Ruschhaupt. He was united in marriage to Peggy Sell on January 24, 1960; she preceded him in death on April 16, 1990. He later married Marcia Warner on April 30, 1993, his wife survives. Additional survivors include a son: Robert (Susan) Ruschhaupt of Huntington; a daughter: Debby (Tim) Kaufman of Petoskey, MI; two stepsons: Marc Jackson of Cottonwood, AZ; Steven (Lori) Jackson of Cottonwood, AZ; a stepdaughter: Carla (Gerry) Dufort of Sedona, AZ; eleven grandchildren: Andy Roberts, Austin Roberts, Megan Ruschhaupt, Skyler Ruschhaupt, Nate (J’aime) Kaufman, Matt Kaufman, Sam (Ashley) Kaufman, Nichole (Wyatt) Hicks, Paydon Jackson, Troy Jackson and Jessica Goodwin, seven great grandchildren: Jude Hicks, Avenley Hicks, Porter Kaufman, Parker Kaufman, Lennon Kaufman, Andi Long and Cort Wallace. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel with Pastor Jason Parsons officiating. Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County. Memorial donations can be made out to Faith Chapel United Methodist Church or to Visiting Nurse and Hospice both in care of Myers Funeral Home, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
