Albertha Hoskins

Albertha Roach Hoskins was born in Clarksville, Tennessee on Sept 30th 1937, the daughter of Walter Roach and Katherine Jones. Albertha married Waddell Hoskins right after graduation in 1956 and later they moved to Indianapolis, Indiana. Albertha Hoskins owned her own sewing business named "Simply Albertha alterations” and helped her mother with the family cooking business Named "Big Momma's Soul Food Kitchen”. Her hobbies were sewing and cooking and she was talented at both! Albertha Hoskins adopted Tanisha H., at the age of 64, which was one of her greatest achievements, the love of her life! Tanisha’s took great care of her until her death. Albertha fell asleep in death on Friday, the morning of November 11th at 1:30am at Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis, IN at the age 85 and will be dearly missed. Albertha was the eldest of 6 siblings and leaves behind her daughter Tanisha R. Hoskins, sister Mattie Solomon, brother Ralph Jones, a host of nieces and nephews.
