Jerry Talley, Sr.

Jerry Talley, Sr. 79, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2022. Jerry was born September 8, 1942 in Sheffield, Alabama the son of the late Porter and Lethia Mae Talley. He was a supervisor/manager with Maplehurst Farms for 30 years before retiring in 2010 and then went to work for Diamond Chain Co. before finally retiring for good. Jerry was a member of the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, a proud Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. He was also a mechanic and driver that ran figure 8 races in Louisville and Bowling Green, Kentucky. He also enjoyed NASCAR, building computers,and spending time fishing. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years: Ursula Talley, children: Stacy (Jimmy) Henry and Jerry Talley, Jr., sister: Betty Jones, grandchildren: Tiffany (Darrell) Brewer, Jerry Talley, III, Emily Henry and Aiva Talley also 3 great grandchildren: Haley, Makenzie and Harmony Brewer. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister: Marie Denton and a brother: Edward Talley. A visitation for Jerry will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West, 5791 Rockville Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46224. A funeral service will occur Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Family Funeral Care-Rockville West. Jerry will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery, 425 N Holt Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222 with Military Honors.
