Richard C Bierck

Richard C. Bierck, 89, of Indianapolis passed away on August 8, 2011. Richard retired in 1985 from Dean Bros. Pump Co. after 40 years as Vice President of Sales. He was a charter member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, former Pres. of the Hydraulic Institute, member of Rotary International and a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul. Richard was a WW II Navy veteran on a LCI #75 deployed at all major landings in the European Theatre including D-Day. He is survived by his wife of 66 years: M. Joan Bierck, daughter: Linda (Steve) Frazer, son: Gregory (Patricia) Bierck and 4 grandchildren: Corey, Andrew and Megan Chenault and Jennifer Haan. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, from 4:00–8:00 PM at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 11, 9:30am at the mortuary followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
